The Durand Community Library
is a combination public / high
school library located inside
the Durand High School building. The
community entrance is located
to the left of the High School
entrance.
The Durand Community Library offers a wide variety
of services to the public:
- Internet access (free, but
30 minute time limit if someone's waiting) but no email access available
- Popular
word processing and spreadsheet software programs
- Online research databases
- Microfilm reader / printer
- Comprehensive reference
and research materials \
- Wide variety of fiction
and non-fiction books from young to the adult
- Wide variety of videos,
books on tape, and music cassettes
- Storytime for preschoolers
is available three times a year. Registration is required. Summer
reading programs available
Genealogy Research
The Durand Community Library staff offers genealogy research for a small
fee of $6.00 per request. Due to limited staff, research is done when time
is available.
The research can only
be done if you specify name and date of the person for research.
